Our Zero-Waste Production Efforts
West Oak Design currently disposes of one small wastepaper basket of landfill waste every 6 months. Straight stitch patterns minimize waste at the garment cutting phase. Remnants from our Coil Rope Collection become necklaces and keychains. We utilize end-of-bolt fabrics and have placed a stronger emphasis on working with high quality, natural, biodegradable fibers. Fabric remnants from our garment collections are used in bag production. The smallest scraps are sewn into fine art pieces by Christie Sommers.
